The beginning of corona virus in the year 2019 from china spread all across the world within no time and deteriorated the world economy brutally. In bad times like those all the traditional methods of working were restricted by the governments to prevent the spread of this virus but this step of the government took a different turn when more and more people started doing work from home through the help of internet. The adoption of this new method of working by people lead to the tremendous use of technology, which ultimately digitalized the globe on a massive scale.

GROWTH

On this chart the highest growth in Internet use has been in Portugal: it's currently running at about a 50% increase with Spain close behind followed by the UK. Italy flattened out at about a 40% increase in usage towards the end of March and France seems to be plateauing at a little over 30% up on the end of last year.



The US, Canada, Australia and Brazil are all running at between 40% and 50% the level of use at the beginning of the year.


EDUCATION


Due to lockdown the students as well as their future was suffering so badly so the government issued the order to conduct classes online until the pandemic is there.
All the educational institutions including schools, colleges etc. completed their courses through online medium with the help of many applications like zoom, google meet etc. even many of the exams were taken online by many institutions but these online examinations were also criticized by many as it promoted open book tests which is said to be the creativity killing process for students.


FREELANCING


Freelancers also known as Gig workers were also benefited a lot during the covid times and more and more people were shifted to this method of working where you provide your time and skill online in exchange of money from sitting any where in this world. Even after the pandemic was over people preferred to work remotely as it was more convenient for them and was also more profitable for skill providers. 


CONCLUSION


The internet has seen gigantic sudden growth in the analytics and traffic and still manages to operate pretty well. More importantly the increased used base still continues to use the internet and it is still increasing day by day and according to some sources it is said that by the year 2050 internet will penetrate the whole world population as it is currently available to 59.9 percent of the total world population.
